Yes, but we cannot wire directly into a board that has no spare ways. In this situation, we can install a small dedicated enclosure beside the main board or carry out a complete consumer unit upgrade, confirming any extra parts with you before proceeding.
Do I need to supply the charger myself?
You can provide your own compatible charge point for us to wire and commission, or we can supply a unit as part of the installation. We check that any hardware you provide meets UK electrical and safety regulations.
How long does a home charger installation take?
A standard home installation where the consumer unit has spare capacity and the cable run is straightforward typically takes between three and five hours. Longer routes or running cables beneath floorboards will naturally take more time.
Will installing a charger cause disruption to my home's power?
We only isolate the mains power for a short period when connecting the new circuit into your fuse board or main distribution equipment. We advise you in advance so you can save computer work and plan around the brief interruption.
