The price depends on the length of the cable run between your fuse board and the parking spot, whether cables must pass through finished rooms or walls, and whether your consumer unit has adequate capacity or needs an additional protective device.
Do I need a new consumer unit before installing a car charger?
Not necessarily. If your current board has a spare way, correct earthing, and sufficient capacity to handle the charging load, we can connect into it directly. If the board lacks space or proper protection, we explain the options before any work starts.
Are your EV charger installations certified?
Yes. MX2 Electrical is NAPIT registered and TrustMark accredited. We issue an electrical installation certificate for the new circuit and handle notification through NAPIT upon completion.
