Parking on the plot
A driveway in Broadstone, Canford Heath or Burton is a short wall or garage mount. Town centre offices, Westbourne shops and converted flats in Parkstone or Bournemouth need an allocated bay before a cable route can be agreed.
Need a dedicated EV charger at a house, office or company premises? MX2 Electrical fits wall mounted charge points across Poole and the surrounding towns. The supply, parking space and cable route are checked first, then the circuit is tested and the network operator is notified.

The install covers a dedicated circuit from the consumer unit to a wall or garage position you control, then testing, certification and network notification.
A house, office or shop can take a charge point when there is parking on the plot and a supply that can accept a dedicated circuit.
A driveway in Broadstone, Canford Heath or Burton is a short wall or garage mount. Town centre offices, Westbourne shops and converted flats in Parkstone or Bournemouth need an allocated bay before a cable route can be agreed.
Homes and workplaces are checked the same way: incoming fuse, spare ways, earthing and whether a continuous charging load will sit on that board. Older town centre premises in Wimborne Minster and Wareham are not assumed to match a suburban house.
Staff and visitor points at offices, shops and company premises use the same dedicated circuit, testing and DNO notification as a house. Isolation is planned with you rather than guessed around trading hours.
The survey locks the parking space, board and cable route. Fitting is then a planned visit with isolation agreed in advance for homes and workplaces.
The parking space, cable route and consumer unit are checked before hardware is mounted. A workplace visit includes how isolation will sit against the hours the premises actually trades.
The board is isolated for the new circuit. Cable is clipped on the agreed route and the charge point is fixed on the wall or garage that serves the parking space.
The circuit is tested, the certificate is issued and the distribution network operator is notified. The unit is demonstrated before the visit closes.
The finished job is a dedicated charging circuit on a home or workplace supply, with records that match the work done.
A commissioned wall unit at the parking space you control, ready to charge the vehicle that uses that bay.
A new circuit with its own protection, sized for the charger and kept off the rest of the board's everyday load.
The electrical certificate for the new circuit and the network notification record for the charge point.
A short demonstration of status lights, the tethered lead or socket, and any app controls the fitted unit actually has.
MX2 Electrical charges £300 — the rate we quote from, confirmed on survey, not a lead-generation estimate.
Our rate for this work is £300. The price moves with access, the age and condition of the existing installation, and how much making good the job leaves behind — all of which we confirm before work starts.
Yes. Staff and visitor points at offices, shops and company premises are in scope. I survey parking, the board and isolation, then quote that job. It is not priced as a short domestic wall mount unless that is genuinely what the site is.
I check spare ways, protection and the incoming supply on survey. If the board cannot take a dedicated circuit I will set out a secondary enclosure or a consumer unit upgrade as a separate price, for a house or a workplace.
A cable across a public footway cannot be signed off. A driveway, hardstanding, yard or an allocated bay on the premises is what makes a charge point possible.
The published floor is a short domestic wall mount with a direct run from a compatible consumer unit. Workplace points, longer runs, containment and board work are quoted from survey.
Local housing stock is the main reason. Victorian and Edwardian houses and conversions Older or harder-to-access properties take longer, and that time is what a quote is mostly made of.
Official UK rules for connecting a charge point to the network and for smart domestic units.
