Replacing a consumer unit is notifiable work. Following installation and full circuit testing, you receive an Electrical Installation Certificate alongside a building regulations compliance certificate registered via NAPIT.
What happens if my EICR inspection reveals electrical faults?
Any defects, deterioration or dangerous conditions are documented on the report with standard observation codes. Putting those issues right is quoted separately in writing, allowing you to choose how to proceed.
