- A minor works certificate for the circuit we have altered

- Making good tiles, plaster, paint or silicone after a new wall hole
- Full house ventilation systems, heat recovery units or cooker hoods on a gas supply
- Treating mould, replacing windows or any joinery around the fan

What is a dMEV fan?
A dMEV fan is a small continuous extractor, usually in a bathroom or kitchen. It trickles all day and speeds up when the room gets steamy, which is why it clears moisture better than a fan that only runs with the light.
Do you work in flats as well as houses?
Yes. We fit fans in houses and flats around Poole, Parkstone, Canford Heath, Westbourne and Bournemouth, as long as there is a legal extract path to outside air.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. Altering the fan circuit is notifiable electrical work in a dwelling, and we issue a minor works certificate. MX2 Electrical is NAPIT registered for that paperwork.
Can you replace a broken extractor on the same visit?
If the spur is live and the wall hole suits the new unit, we swap it in one visit from £140. If the circuit is dead, fault finding from £70/hr comes first.
